Episodes: From Research to Reality

National Science week in conjunction with its sponsors and 31 Digital will be bringing you a series of documentaries in 2011 which will shine a spotlight on Queensland’s scientific, technical and entrepreneurial genius through showcasing a series of fascinating companies, technologies and people.

Queensland’s science and innovation sector is at the forefront of discovery: from developing a digital system that allows police investigators in the field and scientists in the police lab to share evidence as it comes to hand (just like in the movies) to QUT researchers implementing new surgical techniques. Yet few people actually know much about what’s in our own backyard. We think the public should know – particularly young people who might be thinking about a future in science and technology.

The theme of this series is “From Research to Reality”. This year National Science Week has commissioned six documentaries all pertaining to the wonderful world of science and technology. Click on the links below to find out more.
